The West Kelowna Warriors completed a deal with Chilliwack

Warriors acquire forward

The West Kelowna Warriors and Chilliwack Chiefs completed a deal Thursday.

The Warriors acquired 17-year-old forward Tyler Cristall in exchange for future considerations.

In 20 games with the Chiefs this season, Cristall registered three goals and six assists.

He had 32 goals and 31 helpers in 39 games with the BC Major Midget League Vancouver Northwest Hawks last season.

“We look forward to adding Tyler to our lineup”, said Warriors head coach and GM Brandon West.

“He is a smart, skilled player with good offensive instincts and will compliment our forward group now and the future”.

The acquisition of Cristall comes just days after the Warriors added Deegan Mofford to the roster. Mofford was reassigned to the Warriors Monday by the WHL's Kelowna Rockets.

Cristall and Mofford are expected to be in the lineup Saturday when the Warriors travel to Prince George.

It's game six of their month-long seven-game road swing.

They will be in Surrey next Wednesday before finally returning to Royal LePage Place a week Friday when they'll host the Wenatchee Wild.
