ORIGINAL

A well-known B.C. chef is accused of sexually assaulting an underage girl, who told the court about her experiences Wednesday including an assault in the Penticton area.

The woman's identity is protected under a publication ban, but she has accused chef Hunter Moyes of sexual interference and assault, CTV News reports.

Moyes is known for his appearance on Chopped Canada, and he worked at Tacofino and the Waldorf Hotel.

The accuser spoke at Surrey provincial court Wednesday, first detailing an assault that she says took place near Penticton when she was under 16.

She said Moyes asked her to lie on the ground, spooned her and then stroked her breasts over her shirt.

She also described a 2009 incident in Metro Vancouver when she said Moyes woke her up, reeking of alcohol.

"He began to touch me. He then pulled down my pants and performed oral sex on me."

She said she believes she was in Grade 9 at that time.

She also testified that she stayed with him one night in his Vancouver apartment, after wanting to go out drinking while still underage. She claims she fell asleep in his bed.

"I woke up to intercourse," she told the judge.

Moyes has pleaded not guilty. The trial is set for six days, and no allegations have yet been proven.
