The annual event to remember road crash victims is Nov. 20

Too many traffic fatalities

Those who have been impacted by car crashes will be braving the cold in the Orchard Park Mall parking lot on Wednesday evening, Nov. 20.

The eighth annual National Day of Remembrance for Road Crash Victims event will run kick off at 5:30 p.m., and feature brief presentations by firefighters, paramedics and police.

The event is organized by One Crash is Too Many, a non-profit organization organized by local lawyer Paul Hergott and his wife Terri.

The couple started the organization after their friend was killed in a crash in 2010.

“The National Day of Remembrance for Road Crash Victims in Canada is a day set aside to remember people killed or seriously injured on Canadian roads, often in avoidable collisions, and those left to deal with the sudden and unexpected loss of those they love,” said Paul Hergott.
