There may be some confusion as to what polling station to vote at

Where do I vote?

With the federal election coming up tomorrow, you want to make sure you cast your ballot in the easiest way possible.

In order to cast that ballot, you need to show up to a specific polling station.

Unlike the provincial elections, you can't just vote at any place, you have to be at the spot that is designated for your location in your riding.

If you show up to a polling station that hasn't been allocated to you, you can't vote there.

"If you received your voter card in the mail, that will have the address for your polling station on the back," says Sharon Morrison, the returning officer for North Okanagan-Shuswap. "You must vote there and only there."

If you didn't receive your voter card or can't find it, there are a couple other ways to figure out where to go.

You can go to the Elections Canada website, and enter your postal code in the purple box on the top left side.

You can also call Elections Canada toll free at 1-800-463-6868 and ask where your polling station is.
