HorrorFest an adult themed party is returning to Kelowna Oct. 25

Adults only movie night

The Okanagan Society for Independent Filmmakers is hosting the 11th annual HorrorFest on Oct. 25, a single night film festival.

The festival will showcase Canadian and local talent at the Black Box Community Theatre in Kelowna, starting at 7 p.m.

HorrorFest originated in 2009 with only one locally produced thriller short-film, that was screened to 35 people and last year, more than 12 local horror films were screened to 225 viewers.

HorrorFest is a costume party with adult themed screenings from some of the Okanagan's most creative minds.

Food and drinks will be available for purchase as well as door and costume prizes available to win.

  • Ex-Hale - Erin Hazelhurst
  • Burn Witch Burn - Tyler Messervey
  • The Deadly Lupus Flower - Neil Warren
  • Taquitos - John Silecchia
  • Polar Tour - Dustin McGladrey
  • The Package - Steve Herman
  • To Save One’s Self - Matthew Campbell
  • As well as four YouTube short horror films.
