The Greater Vernon Chamber expressed a couple needs at council today.

The first issue to be brought up was the need for private security.

While downtown's need is evident, the Chamber also wants it in other commercial areas as well.

"It really needs to be a larger scale than just downtown," Councillor Kelly Fehr agreed.

Locks of dumpsters downtown are being cut off and more waste is being disposed in them, causing them to overflow.

The second concern from the Chamber is for enhanced mental health and treatment services.

They want better care for individuals with low income.
