One of the most popular U.S. restaurant chains has opened up a location in the Central Okanagan.
Popeyes Louisiana Chicken is up and running in West Kelowna. The famous fast-food chicken restaurant chain is located at 110 2127 Louie Dr.
Popeyes is ranked No. 3 among fast-food chicken restaurants in the U.S. when it comes to annual sales, according to QSR Magazine, behind Chik-fil-A and KFC. It is ranked No. 20 overall.
The company made headlines earlier this year when it rolled out its new chicken sandwich in the U.S., which led to at least one person demanding the sold-out item at gunpoint. The sandwich has not been released in Canada.
The Popeyes in West Kelowna is the second such restaurant in the Okanagan, as the first opened in Penticton in June.
