There is one way to easily and more affordably alleviate traffic congestion along Harvey Avenue/Highway 97 in Kelowna, without breaking the bank.
Vancouver's Georgia Street, including the Lions Gate Bridge, have overhead arrows that provide the extra lanes required during rush hour, etc.
It's been working very well for years.
Why not make use all of the existing lanes along Highway 97 from West Kelowna, across the bridge, to the airport and use cameras that would enable someone to monitor when it's time to add or subtract a lane?
