He won a home in Kelowna

A 77-year-old Port Moody resident is the winner of this year’s PNE Prize Home, which will be located in Kelowna.

Albert Prendergast's name was drawn Monday night, a week after the conclusion of the 2019 Vancouver fair.

A total of 668,000 tickets were sold on the $2-million, 3,159 square-foot home.

It includes three bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms and is described as “Net Zero Ready” — that is, it’s able to produce as much energy as it consumes.

Proceeds from the lottery go to non-profit programs at the PNE in the fields of agriculture, community, education and the arts.

The home will be relocated from the fairgrounds to Kelowna's Kirschner Mountain neighbourhood, offering stunning valley and lake views.

It even comes with a robotic lawn mower!
