RibFest bigger and better

If you smell smoke in the air in downtown Kelowna this weekend, have no fear. It's not wildfires you smell, but smoke from some of North America's top grillers.

The fourth annual Interior Savings Sunrise Rotary RibFest is back at Kelowna City Park to make your mouth water and satisfy your craving for meat.

The three-day community event runs Friday through Sunday and features some of the best ribs this side of the Mississippi.

This year's event features something for everyone, including a market and musical entertainment. Organizers have also added vegetarian and gluten-free options this year.

The Family Fun Zone features carnival-themed games and activities, which will be operating all three days. Lost N Found, Linus and Under the Rocks will be performing on stage.

This year, you can also get into some axe throwing while chowing down on your favourite food, as local company Axe Monkeys will be on site.

If you would like to take a more “hands on” approach, organizers are looking for volunteers with shifts available throughout the event.
