Samantha Sewell has another crown to add to her collection.

The Vernon woman was just crowned Miss Royalty International in Milwaukee, Wis.

Sewell competed in the interview, evening gown and fashion wear events to win the crown.

This is her 10th pageant win, and the biggest event she has been in, calling it her first “major win.”

“It is the first time I won an International pageant,” said Sewell from Wisconsin.

“I am still shook. I dropped on stage and that emotion has really stayed with me since. Next is using my crown and sash to make a difference and become a voice for the children of Canada and the world without a voice. Using this title tirelessly.”

Last year, the 21-year-old represented Canada at the same event where she took home the first runner-up spot, top five international role model, as well as the title of Miss International Volunteer 2019 — the first time that title was won by a Canadian.

Sewell is also the youngest person to ever win the Miss Royalty International title.

Sewell has attended more than 50 local, provincial and national charity events over the past year.

Born with speech impediments, Sewell has become an advocate for Apraxia of speech, hoping to be a role model for all people with invisible disabilities by showing them that no matter what labels someone puts on you, you can do anything you put your heart to.

She is also an outspoken anti-bullying advocate, having been bullied for years at high school due to her speech challenges.
