There was a lineup around the block to get into the new HomeSense store in Vernon Tuesday.

If you build it they will come.

And did they ever.

An estimated 200 people were lined up Tuesday morning for the opening of the first Home Sense store in Vernon.

As an added bonus, the store was giving away $10 gift certificates to the first 100 people to set foot in the store in the Anderson Subdivision.

According to the HomeSense website, the store offers discounts of 20-60 per cent below full-price retailers’ including department, specialty, and major online retailers regular prices, on comparable merchandise.
