A motorcyclist went off Highway 97 near Gorman's Mill in West Kelowna late Saturday.

Emergency services gathered near the curve just before the sawmill, where the bike and rider went off the highway. The bike was some distance farther up the highway, near Glenrosa Road, witnesses report.

The rider may have suffered a cardiac arrest.

The route was reduced to a single lane for about an hour.

There is no word on whether the rider survived.
