Falcons lose lopsided affair

The Kelowna Falcons couldn’t find their way at home, falling to the Wenatchee AppleSox by a score 13-1 Tuesday night at Elks Stadium.

Wenatchee wasted no time hitting the scoresheet as Kodie Kolden began the game with a bang with a solo home run over the wall in left field to give the AppleSox a 1-0 lead before an RBI double from Dalton Harum extended the lead to 2-0.

The AppleSox added three more runs in the 2nd inning coming courtesy of eight Wenatchee batters coming to the plate. Three doubles in the inning including a two-run double to left center field from Ryan Altenberger and an RBI two-bagged from Johnny Sage gave Wenatchee a 5-0 lead in the 2nd inning.

Bradley Norton gave the crowd something to cheer about in the 9th inning as he drove a ball deep to left field and over the wall for his first home run of the season and breaks the shutout bid to finish the scoring at 13-1 in favour of Wenatchee.

The Falcons look to even the series against the AppleSox on Wednesday night from Elks Stadium. Tickets are available for purchase on the Falcons website as well as at the gate ahead of the first pitch scheduled for 6:35 p.m.
