A unique Okanagan memorial is back for its seventh season.

The Central Okanagan Hospice Association's Butterfly Effect event takes place at Falcon Ridge Farms on Sunday.

"The Butterfly Effect is a spectacular butterfly release to honour those we have lost and other special people in our lives," says executive director Natasha Girard.

The event is designed as a fun few hours for the whole family, with a kids zone, entertainment, and local artisans in a beautiful garden setting at Falcon Ridge.

“We know it is a special time for our community to come together to remember, to laugh and even shed a tear as we release hundreds of butterflies into nature. The Butterfly Effect is such a great family friendly event with a symbolic meaning unique to all of us,” says Girard.
