3 'missing' confirmed OK

UPDATE: 4:40 p.m.

Penticton RCMP Const. James Grandy has confirmed police have seen the formerly "missing" father, son and friend trio and all are well.

ORIGINAL: 10 a.m.

RCMP are still looking to confirm the well-being of a father, son and friend who were reported missing and possibly travelling in B.C. Monday

Conrad Johnston and his 11-year-old son Conrad Jr. Johnston, along with friend Nickolas Grunwald have been reportedly camping and active on social media. Some media is reporting them found and safe because of this.

However, Penticton RCMP Const. James Grandy says that isn't enough for the RCMP — they need to physically lay eyes on the individuals.

"We need to see them. We want to communicate to them that they need to come to a police station," Grandy said. "They've been told that. We need to lay eyes on them, we need to talk to the boy and stuff like that, they need to come in."

As of Tuesday morning, that had not happened.

"As far as we're concerned we can't confirm their well-being unless we speak to them in person," Grandy said.
