The St. Louis Blues have captured the Stanley Cup for the first time.
The Blues defeated the Boston Bruins 4-1 in Game 7 for the finals Wednesday.
The win concludes an incredible turnaround season for the team, which was last in the NHL standings on January 3.
Blues netminder Jordan Binnington made 32 saves, while goals came from Alex Pietrangelo, Ryan O'Reilly, Brayden Schenn and Zach Sanford.
O'Reilly’s goal made him the first player to score in four straight Stanley Cup games since Gretzky in 1985.
This was the Blues’ fourth Stanley Cup appearance since entering the league in 1967, but their first win.
