Former Miss Universe Olivia Culpo has been crowned number one on the 2019 Maxim Hot 100.

The stunner, who previously dated Nick Jonas and was recently linked to superstar DJ Zedd, graces the cover of the magazine's July/August issue after editors declared her the sexiest woman of the year.

"I've always looked at the Maxim Hot 100 with admiration," the 27 year old writes on Instagram, alongside a photo of the new release.

"There have been so many smart and successful women featured who have inspired me and my career in countless ways which makes this cover so meaningful to me. It still doesn't feel real!"

Olivia is featured braless in the cover photo, shot by Gilles Bensimon, stripping down to a pair of lace panties and a sheer nude robe, loosely tied in the front, leaving little to the imagination.

She also sheds all her clothes for another sultry snap inside the magazine, in which she is shot sitting naked on a cluttered dresser, leaning against a large mirror, with one arm strategically placed atop a raised leg, shielding her nipples and her genitals from view.

The beauty follows in the footsteps of stars like Jessica Alba, Katy Perry, Miley Cyrus, Taylor Swift, Kate Upton, and Justin Bieber's new wife, formerly known as Hailey Baldwin, who have all been given the top honour on the Maxim Hot 100 over the years.

The rest of the new Hot 100 list has yet to be revealed.
