A water quality advisory issued late last week has been lifted for some residents of West Kelowna.

The city announced late Tuesday, the advisory has been lifted for residents on the Sunnyside/Pritchard water systems.

However, it remains in effect for the West Kelowna Estates water system due to increased turbidity at the Okanagan Lake intake.

West Kelowna Estates residents are advised there is still some risk associated with consuming tap water.

Those with weakened immune systems, children, the elderly or those seeking extra protection should continue to boil their water.

Free water remains available for those affected residents at the bulk water station at Shannon Lake and Asquith roads.
