Revved up for Father's Day

It's Father's Day this Sunday, and that means it's time for the annual Boyd Autobody car show at Kelowna City Park.

Thousands of people are expected to fill the park to check out the collector cars, hotrods, customs, motorcycles and exotics.

The show runs from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and also serves as a fundraiser for the Child Advocacy Centre of Kelowna.

For the first time, Boyd's is also raffling off a 2005 Ford Mustang with co-sponsors Lordco & PPG. Tickets are $25, with all proceeds going to the Kelowna Foundation/Child Advocacy Centre. The winner will be drawn at the show.

There will be live entertainment all day in the park, with bands Rumble 100, The Silverbacks, and 3/4 Crush on stage.

And you can avoid the hassle of parking, by catching the shuttle service to City Park from the Kelowna Library, where there's plenty of parking in the parkade.
