Hunters Hill close to reality

The Hunters Hill subdivision in Summerland is close to fruition with an announcement Friday that sees Emil Anderson Construction sign onto the project in a joint venture agreement.

The Hunters Hill project has been working its way through the planning and regulatory process for more than 5 years, evolving into a 141-lot, 68-acre development across from Sumac Ridge Winery.

“Our group is very pleased to move forward with this exceptional project. The small-town atmosphere of Summerland is the perfect setting for a development of this nature. The land, the location, and the planning have all come together for an inspired housing opportunity we can all be very proud of,” said Emil Anderson chairman Mike Jacobs.

Developer Patrick Murphy says they are nearing final approval for the project through the District of Summerland and hope to get to work in the late summer or early fall.
