The Trans-Canada Highway is now fully open after a collision near Bridal Falls forced the closure of both eastbound lanes Monday morning.

UPDATE 8:57 a.m.

One eastbound lane of the Trans-Canada Highway has now opened after a collision forced both lanes to close early Monday.

Crews are on scene clearing the area but expect delays for next several hours. The next update is expected by 10 a.m.

ORIGINAL 6:02 a.m.

Highway 1 eastbound is closed east of Chilliwack in the Fraser Valley near the Bridal Falls exit by Highway 9.

DriveBC is reporting a vehicle collision has caused a detour in that area.

Westbound lanes are completely open. Emergency crews are on scene and an assessment is in progress.
