A young man in Creek Park in Naramata whipped out his phone Wednesday when he saw a huge snake slithering through the grass just feet away. 

His mother, Jackie Smart, posted the footage in a local dog owners' Facebook group, wanting to spread a warning. 

"DOG OWNERS... And people too I guess..." she wrote. "Be careful out there."

Debate has ensued in the comments on the post, with some believing it to be a rattlesnake and others claiming otherwise. 

Either way, an incredible sight.
