Summerland annual Giant’s Head Run is going retro, with a 80s theme this year.

The family fun run will take place June 1 at 6 p.m., a marquee event of Summerland’s Action Festival May 31 to June 2.

Prizes will be given out for the best retro dressed in addition to more than $2,000 in event prizes. This year, there will be 80s music along the route and bubbles and water spray stations.  

Runners can choose from a 5 km or 10 km route, starting from the Summerland Aquatic Centre at 6 p.m. Athletes can race, run, walk or just stroll.

The Giants Head Run has been taking place since 1982.
