Refunds for Gucci Mane tix

The rumour that had been swirling after several Gucci Mane concerts in Canada were postponed has been confirmed by the South Okanagan Events Centre: Gucci Mane's scheduled show on May 28 will not go forward.

"We have been informed by a representative of the OPEN Agency, who is working with the promoter for the Gucci Mane Live in Canada Tour 2019 that 'unfortunately the dates have been postponed for the upcoming tour scheduled May 15-31,'" writes Carla Seddon, director of marketing, in a press release.

On Tuesday, Castanet heard from Seddon that the venue had not yet heard from the tour managers, but had suspended selling tickets while they got to the bottom of the rumoured cancellation.

The tour is now looking at new dates between Sept. 3 to Sept. 15. In the meantime, ticket refunds for the Penticton concert are being made available.

Credit card purchases will have the ticket price and per-ticket fees automatically reversed beginning May 23. Refunds can take between five to 10 days to occur. Anyone who has not received a reversal by June 6 is asked to contact the Vally First Box Office at the SOEC.

Cash or debit purchases made at the box office can return to their point of purchase and get a refund starting May 23 at 10 a.m. Only the purchaser of the tickets, with valid photo ID, may receive the refund on the card or in cash, depending how the tickets were purchased.

The Valley First Box Office is open Monday to Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Refunds must be completed by June 21.

Questions can be directed to the box office at 250-276-2144.
