New wheels for Mission

Kelowna Gospel Mission will be able to continue to help those most in need, thanks to the donation of a 2013 Dodge Grand Caravan from the Kelowna Auto Dealers Association.

The dealers handed over the keys Friday afternoon, and Gospel Mission executive director Randy Benson says his team is thrilled.

''Much of our ministry is about helping guests get to appointments and various activities, so that's what this van will be used for.''

The Gospel Mission was given a similar van six years ago, but it's no longer in driveable condition.

KADA represents 18 new car dealerships in Kelowna, says Adam Rich, general manager of Sentes Automotive.

"As the city of Kelowna continues to grow, so do the challenges that arise with those needing the assistance of programs offered by Kelowna’s Gospel Mission. The KADA is extremely pleased to be able to make this contribution to our community,'' Rich added.
