Shooting leads to crash

Police in suburban Victoria arrested one man and are seeking a second following a shooting outside a Langford convenience store, Tuesday.

Shots were fired outside the Happy Valley Market in Langford about 10:45 a.m., CTV News reports.

Two people fled in separate vehicles, and minutes later, one of the vehicles crashed on Veterans Memorial Parkway, police say.

No one was injured in the shooting.

"Two cars (were) coming insanely fast and weaving in and out of traffic and the shoulder of the road," witness Colleen Leppky-Robertson told CTV.

The cars passed her, then seconds later one crashed head-on into a semi.

Police pulled the bleeding driver from the vehicle, along with a gun.

The second vehicle was found abandoned in Colwood with a bullet hole in the rear side window.

Police say the shooting appears to be targeted.
