"Fire at Supportive Housing (Nanaimo)", Castanet, April 9, 2019 sent more terrifying thoughts through a Kelowna seniors neighbourhood surrounding Agassiz Road.
This is the site where mayor and council on January 17, 2019 voted for a Harm Reduction Wet facility to be built. Seniors were already dreading the influx of illicit drug usage and trafficking. Now fire is in this insidious mix.
Seniors living in fear, while mayor and council continue their lip service about public safety and building strong neighbourhoods.
