Shame on the Liberals

So the events of recent weeks and the preceding six months of Liberal “business as usual” do not strike MP Fuhr as inappropriate.

What part of ethical, rule of law, independent prosecutors, honesty, truthful testimony and forthright answers from the prime minister and his office and staff does he not understand?

We have had a different reason from the PM almost daily since the story of political interference in the SNC-Lavalin story broke. Nothing happened, never spoke to her, just helping her to find a solution, I did not direct her, there was no pressure, she was difficult to work with smear campaign, she could not stand the pressure of the job, SNC-Lavalin will move head office, there are 9,000 jobs at stake, and on and on.

His chief of staff resigned and in testimony confirmed Jody Wilson-Raybould’s testimony on dates and times of political pressure for a plea deal for a major corporation, which just happens to have been recently convicted in Canada for illegal political donation schemes, and bribing a civic official with over $2,000,000 on a Quebec bridge contract.

But all the insiders of the PM’s office and a key civil servant want them to escape prosecution. SNC-Lavalin have a long and sordid history of corrupting officials around the world and in Canada.

The Clerk of the Privy Council, the senior (supposedly) non-partisan official takes calls from his old pal the CEO of SNC-Lavalin on his private line at night to discuss how they can work out a deal. That same Clerk also calls the minster of justice at home at night to tell her the PM is in a mood and will get his way. What part of unethical and possibly illegal do you not see here?

As for the testimony of Michael Wernick, it included a lot of non-answers and “...I do not recall the conversation that way" or "I do not remember.”

Canadians have lost confidence in a deceitful PM who broke most of his election platform promises and now is disgracing the country at home and abroad.

Shame on you, Mr. Fuhr, you served Canada with honour as an officer in the air force, retain your honour by resigning from the Liberal caucus.
