Record temps on the way

Madison Erhardt

Technically, spring doesn't arrive until Wednesday, but Mother Nature doesn't seem to care.

Okanagan residents were treated to mid-spring temperatures over the weekend, and they are expected to continue all week.

''A ridge of high pressure remains over the province. Temperatures will be on the rise through the week, and we could be flirting with temperature records by late into the week,'' says Environment Canada meteorologist Matt Loney.

"The records for  this time of year are about 16 C,'' he added.

Today should peak at about 13 C under sunny skies.

The forecast is calling for highs of 15 C and more sunshine right through the work week.

And the weekend is looking beautiful, too.

Both Saturday and Sunday should see a mix of sun and cloud with highs of 16 C.
