Injuries in altercation

UPDATE: 10:50 a.m.

Kelowna RCMP say a heavy police presence on Leathead Road this morning was in response to an altercation with injuries.

Cpl. Jesse O'Donaghey says: "Frontline RCMP officers responded to a report of a disturbance inside a home located along Leathead Road.

"An adult male sustained what police believe to be non-life-threatening injuries as a result of a physical altercation."

The man was taken to hospital by ambulance for further medical assessment and treatment.

"The incident appears to be an isolated event," O'Donaghey adds.

Castanet sent a reporter to the scene, but by the time they got there, police had left.
