The Vernon Vipers will face the Trail Smoke Eaters in the second round of the BC Hockey League Interior Division playoffs.
The Snakes dispatched the Salmon Arm Silverbacks in round one of the playoffs with three thrilling overtime wins including a triple overtime win in Vernon to close the series in five games.
The Smokies also ended their series against the Merritt Centennials in five games, but Vernon played almost four extra periods because of the overtime battles.
The Smoke Eaters and Vipers have had almost a week to recover from the first round and will meet Friday at Kal Tire Place for round two.
The first two games will be played in Vernon, with games three and four shifting to Trail.
Should additional games be required, they will alternate between the two communities.
