Busy weekend for Vipers

The Vernon Vipers begin a gruelling three-games-in-three-days stint tonight when they host the Nanaimo Clippers at Kal Tire Place.

The BC Hockey League Interior Division Vipers are coming off a 3-2 overtime win against the division-leading Penticton Vees back on Feb. 9.

The Vipers are currently in fifth place of the Interior Division with 56 points, one behind the Salmon Arm Silverbacks and and four ahead of the last place Trail Smoke Eaters.

The Vipers have secured a playoff spot.

The Island Division Clippers are sitting in third spot of their division with 51 points and have also made the play offs.

On Saturday, the Vipers head south to face the West Kelowna Warriors who are one point behind the Vipers in the Interior Division.

The Vipers third game in three days will be back at Kal Tire Place where they will face the Langley Rivermen of the Mainland Division.
