Routes open after closures

It's still snowing in the Okanagan, but overnight mayhem on Interior highways is clearing up.

Highway 97 was closed for hours overnight in Osoyoos after a crash brought hydro lines down on the road, DriveBC reports.

The incident happened between 6th and 74th avenues and closed the route just north of the U.S. border crossing.

The Trans-Canada Highway reopened about 4 a.m. following a vehicle incident between Field and the Alberta boundary overnight.

And Highway 3 is now also open after overnight avalanche control work at Kootenay Pass.

Travel advisories for the Coquihalla and Okanagan Connector that were issued Thursday afternoon have now also been lifted.
