Residents and businesses will need to clear the roadway on Tuesday and Wednesday for a large piece of machinery to be moved.

The northbound lane of Lakeshore Road between Richter Street and Barrera Road will be closed from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. for the removal of a tower crane operating in the area.

“During the closure, residents and businesses within the work zone will be able to access their properties, while other northbound motorists will be directed to follow a detour up Barrera Road and north on Casorso Road,” said City of Kelowna spokesperson Tom Wilson.

Southbound traffic will not be impacted on the two days.

The tower crane has been operating on a commercial real estate project since May 2018.
