Wind cancels Warriors tilt

Weather has played havoc with the West Kelowna Warriors road trip, extending it by at least a day.

Saturday's game in Powell River was postponed Saturday because the Warriors were unable to get off the mainland, after several sailings from Horseshoe Bay to Langdale on the Sunshine Coast were cancelled due to heavy winds.

The game will be made up Monday.

With Powell River out of the question, the Warriors instead took the ferry to Nanaimo.

They will bed down in Parksville before heading to Port Alberni for Sunday's scheduled afternoon affair with the Alberni Valley Bulldogs.

It all means next week will be a little more taxing than it already would have.

They won't get home until sometime Tuesday, then have to turn around and head north for a Thursday affair in Prince George.

They host Vernon next Saturday.
