The party is on.

SilverStar Mountain Resort is solidifying plans for the party of the year with 10 days of fun and festivities planned March.

The event boasts an unforgettable festival for skiers, boarders, downhill mountain bikers, music lovers, foodies and everyone in between.

The first-ever Seismic Mountain Festival will feature well-known professional athletes, some of the province's best chefs cooking up masterpieces in the kitchen, multiple sporting events with more than $50,000 up for grabs in cash and prizes, LED-lit igloo tasting events and plenty of live music.

“This is our first year putting on a festival of this size and so far the feedback we’ve received has been nothing but positive,” said Ian Jenkins, director of sales and marketing. “There will be feature events that are perfect for the whole family, it’s a festival that’s really meant for everyone to enjoy. We will continue to release information as all the aspects of the festival come together.

“We have some extremely unique and fun things planned, that we are certain the community is going to be very excited about.”

The spring mountain festival is meant to bring together everyone from sport, business, art, culture, and the community to experience unforgettable moments on the slopes before the winter ski season comes to an end in early April.

Attendees can expect music, beer gardens, art, entertainment and even a firework show over the course of the festival.
