A man has been arrested and charged with a murder that occurred in Cache Creek earlier this week.
Police were called to a home on Collins Road in the small community at 7 p.m. Monday and found a man who appeared to have been killed by a gunshot.
Corey Richard Harkness has since been charged with the murder.
The 31-year-old Cache Creek resident appeared in Kamloops court Thursday morning. He remains in custody, and he's set to appear in court again on Jan. 19.
“This incident generated significant interest in the community and the follow-up investigation continues, said Sgt. Janelle Shoihet, media relations officer for the BC RCMP.
