Chris Pratt texted ex-wife Anna Faris after he proposed to fiancee Katherine Schwarzenegger.
The Jurassic World star announced the happy news on social media on Sunday, but the Mom actress reveals he told her before going public.
"He was like, 'I proposed to Katherine last night.' And I was like, 'Ahh, that's amazing'," she said during an episode of her podcast Anna Faris Is Unqualified. "And I texted him back, like, 'I just wanted to remind you I'm an ordained minister.' I'm not very good at it..."
After his surprise announcement, Anna posted a congratulatory message to the couple, but she insists she knew Chris and Katherine were destined to wed.
"I'm so happy for them," she added. "I knew that it was gonna happen and I love her and I love him and I'm just so happy that they found each other. I so subscribe to the idea of, like, expanding, family and love with (our son) Jack."
Chris and Anna separated in August, 2017, after eight years of marriage, and their divorce was finalized in October. The House Bunny actress began dating cinematographer Michael Bennett two months after parting ways with Pratt.
The former couple is adamant about maintaining a positive co-parenting relationship and Anna, Chris, Katherine, and Michael have worked together to make the transition easy for the former couple's six-year-old son - they all celebrated Halloween together last year.
"I think it's just the general idea of just making sure that (Jack)'s surrounded by a lot of love and happiness," Anna previously told Us Weekly magazine.
