Time for replant applications

Okanagan fruit growers are reminded they have until the end of January to apply for replant funding through the provincial government.

Fruit like honeycrisp, ambrosia and pink lady apples, along with late-season cherries, are popular both in B.C. and around the world. B.C. growers produced 137,600 tonnes of apples, cherries, peaches, plums/prunes, nectarines and apricots, which represented one-third of all Canadian production.

Application forms and full details about the replant program can be found here.

The application deadline is Jan. 31, and they are being accepted by the BC Fruit Growers’ Association.
