A truck collided with a train in Delta Saturday afternoon, and the condition of the truck driver is unknown.
CTV News reports the crash occurred at about 3:20 p.m. on the 4600 block of 72 Street near Ladner Trunk Road.
The crash involved a CN freight train and a Smithrite garbage disposal truck.
A witness said another driver who saw the crash crossed the tracks to try and help the person in the dump truck, who appeared trapped.
"The crossing is equipped with active warning devices which were working at the time of the incident," Jonathan Abecassis, a CN spokesperson, told CTV News.
"Our thoughts are with the person affected by this incident and their families."
