Knife used in robbery

Police in Kamloops are looking to identify the man who robbed a video store Thursday night.

Just before 9 p.m., a masked man entered the MovieMart, located at 367 St. Paul St., brandishing a knife.

The man jumped over the counter and forced the employee to open the cash register.

The masked man took money from the till, left the store and headed west on St. Paul Street. The clerk was not physically injured during the robbery.

Police have described the suspect as a 5-foot-10, 140-150 pound man with “darker-coloured skin.” He was wearing a blue baseball hat with an orange brim and a black bandana during the robbery, along with a light blue hoody with black sleeves with a DC logo on the front. He was also wearing black sweat pants and blue and black gloves.

Anyone with information on the robbery can call the Kamloops RCMP at 250-828-3000.
