Kamloops RCMP are assuring the public that there is no threat to safety in the area of Tranquille Road.
Just before noon, Kamloops RCMP received a report of a threat in a business in the 300 block of Tranquille Road.
Out of an abundance of caution, police redirected traffic while officers searched the area.
At 1:00 p.m., police determined that there was no threat and traffic was allowed to flow on Tranquille Road again.
"Kamloops RCMP would like to thank motorists for their patience and understanding when having to take a different route during this time," stated Cpl. Jodie Shelkie.
