Car stolen, B&E interrupted

UPDATE: 8:30 p.m.

A second high-end luxury vehicle was stolen from a home in the Central Okanagan Monday morning.

A woman living in the Lower Mission in Kelowna contacted Castanet News to say her white Porsche Cayenne had also been stolen.

She said she heard some noises sometime in the morning while she was asleep, but wasn't sure if she was dreaming.

The woman says she noticed her garage open, and the vehicle gone, at 8:30.

She wasn't sure exactly when the vehicle was taken.

Police have yet to comment on the theft, or whether this theft, and the one in Lake Country, are connected.

Police are searching for a suspect and stolen car in the wake of an interrupted break and enter at a home in Lake Country.

Just after 6 a.m. this morning, RCMP received a report of a break and enter at a home off Carrs Landing Road. The homeowners were awakened by an unknown suspect inside the home.

One of the residents confronted the intruder, who brandished a weapon.

“After being confronted, the masked suspect allegedly fled from the home, driving the owner's white 2016 Lexus CT200 sedan,” says Cpl. Jesse O’Donaghey. “Thankfully, none of the residents of the home were injured during the confrontation.”

Forensic specialists conducted an examination of the scene today, searching for physical evidence.

If you spot the Lexus, with B.C. plates CV7 77V, call your police immediately.

Anyone with video surveillance of Carrs Landing Road between McCreight Road and Gable Road, or any other information is asked to call Lake Country RCMP at 250-766-2288 or CrimeStoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or www.crimestoppers.net.
