Snow at higher elevations

Higher elevations and areas throughout the Valley received a dusting of snow early Sunday morning.

After a fairly dry few days across the Okanagan more significant snowfalls at higher elevations are expected during the upcoming week.

On Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday periods of rain are expected throughout the Okanagan meaning snow at higher elevations, including local ski resorts, according to Environment Canada.

Wednesday night temperatures are expected to drop to 0 C and snow flurries are in the forecast.

Weather is expected to warm up for the weekend and snow isn't in the forecast.

As of now, the chance of a green Christmas is very likely, according to the Environment Canada website.

Slushy and slippery sections are expected on higher elevations highways. Drive with care.
