The Vernon Vipers fell to the Cowichan Valley Capitals in BC Hockey League action Friday night.
The Vipers hosted the Capitals at Kal Tire Place for the first of only two meetings this year.
Michael Young scored the lone marker for the Interior Division Vipers.
The Vipers are currently second-to-last in the Interior Division, sitting one point ahead of the Trail smoke Eaters.
The Vipers will have a day to rest before travelling to Salmon Arm where they will face the Silverbacks at the Shaw Centre.
The puck drops at 3 p.m.
