A million-dollar Christmas

It's going to be a green Christmas for a Kamloops couple who won $1 million on the lottery.

The grandparents bought the winning ticket at Orchard Park in Kelowna.

Rodney Plesko matched all seven numbers on his ticket to take home the Lotto Max Maxmillions $1 million draw on Nov. 30.

Plesko was shopping for food when he checked his ticket.

"I checked the ticket again, and then went to a different store to make sure it was real,” Plesko said.

Plesko and his wife, Anne, said they don't have any big plans for the money yet, but they're considering spending more time camping in their RV.
