The crash at Highway 33, south of Big White Road, has been cleared, and traffic is once again moving in both directions.

Highway 33 is closed in both directions just south of the Big White Road turnoff Thursday night after a semi truck jackknifed across the road. 

The crash occurred just after 8 p.m. about five kilometres south of Big White Road.

Initial reports suggested one person was injured in the crash, but it's unclear to what extent. 

The air temperature in the area is just under the freezing level, and the road temperature is about -2 C. 

DriveBC does not have an estimated time the highway will reopen, and an assessment is currently underway.
