Stolen items found in raid

Three people were arrested Wednesday night after police raided a home near downtown Kelowna and found drugs and stolen property.

The Kelowna RCMP executed a search warrant at about 7:40 p.m. at a home on the 800 block of Martin Avenue they believed to be used by several prolific property crime offenders.

“During their search, police seized illicit drugs along with a significant amount of suspect stolen property items which included several high-end bikes, tools, specialized clothing, firearms and countless personal identification cards,” Cpl. Jesse O'Donaghey of the Kelowna RCMP.

Many of the items found inside the house have serial numbers, and O'Donaghey said they are currently working to reunite the items with their rightful owners.

Police arrested a 32-year-old man who was wanted on several outstanding warrants for 13 past theft and fraud-related charges. A 31-year-old woman, also wanted on outstanding warrants, and a 25-year-old woman, were also arrested.

All are expected in Kelowna court at a later date.
