Christmas dinner for all

It's become a tradition for many in Kelowna to help out with or attend. Planning is underway for the 15th annual Victory Church Christmas Dinner.  It happens On Tuesday, December 25th at 5 pm at the Parkinson Recreation Center Volunteers service the guests a sit-down turkey dinner including dessert, with the turkey stuffing and gravy prepared by the Okanagan College Culinary Arts program.

There are gifts for the children and youth, 200 Food Gift Bags, 60 Survival packets, door prizes, music, and entertainment.  “Our desire is that ‘No One Should Spend Christmas Alone!” said Pastor Diana Tripke. They are still looking for some assistance from the community. “The generosity of businesses and individuals from our community have ensured that people have someplace to go and enjoy Christmas Day surrounded by others," said Tripke

Items still needed for 60 Survival packs include toothpaste, toothbrush, a bar of soap, socks, gloves, and deodorant. They are also looking for movie passes 35 for Children and 25 for Youth.
